	Tuesday, August 19, 2025 Scent Pigs The pigs actually have a really great sense of smell. They can tell whenever we're out in the garden picking basil for them because they can smell it being disturbed through the open window. And Potato can even tell what kind of vegetables I'm chopping in the kitchen and will beg for one if it's one of his favorites. Their smell just isn't tuned to human smells. Thankfully. I've read that some animals are bothered by some things, but our pigs don't notice non-food smells at all.
