Wall Feeding
Captain Panda is a panda garra. He's technically a bottom feeder. He scrapes algae and other biofilm off of underwater surfaces as his food. Although in our tank, he doesn't hang out on the bottom all that much. Instead he either eats the big chunks of algae off the fake plants, or he affixes himself to the glass walls of the tank and licks off the tank scum before it becomes visible. Which is cute, because then we can see his white belly and his face plastered against the glass.
Tetras are somewhat "shy" fish, snagging floating food out of the water near the bottom and in shade. But every once in a while, one gets confused and faceplants into the wall. I wonder if Captain Panda is confusing them.
