New Tetras

Ever since the mollies started breeding they were slowly taking over the tank. As other fish would age and pass away, we couldn't replace them because the tank was so full of mollies. But once we finally managed to donate most of the babies and all of the males, the mollie population finally started to come under control. We were down to a single, very old tetra. So we finally bought seven new ones and finally have a whole school.

If you've never introduced new fish to a tank before, this is standard procedure. Put the bag of fish store water (in this case, pet store, since the fish store was constantly sold out of tetras) into the tank still closed and let it float for a bit. This will allow the water to slowly match temperature and you won't shock the fish when they get in the tank. Then net them out and place them in the tank without the potentially sketchy store water.
