	Thursday, August 31, 2023 The Room The default room for one or two guinea pigs at the kennel is a regular cat room. It's a 3x3x3 foot shelf enclosed by a cage door. 9 ft2 is pretty small for three guinea pigs. But it's fine for a couple days, or even a week. But when we started planning a three week trip, we worried that it would be too cramped and they'd get in too many fights. Our only two options were to rent a second cat enclosure for them, or to get the deluxe "Garden Suite" cat room. The problem with two enclosures is one of the pigs would be alone the whole time. And the garden suite was both too big for the pigs, and also not entirely safe since it had a regular door they might squeeze up against. We didn't even look at the deluxe dog room, with the sofa and TV. Only Fuzzy likes TV anyway.
