	Friday, February 23, 2024 Asking Permission I was outside taking out the trash at night, and a possum came strolling down the driveway, confidently walking directly at me. He almost walked right into me until I said "Hi." He jumped slightly, but then tried to play it off by nonchalantly turning and walking past me. He wandered to the side of the driveway, then turned around and walked right in front of me again before reaching the other side of the driveway. I think he was trying not to show fear, but also didn't really want to walk right next to me to reach the back yard, so he was trying to be cool until I left. Either that or he was there to see the pigs and didn't know how to say it.
