Lorikeets

I'm not sure why feeding lorikeets is an activity at so many zoos, aquariums, and aviaries, but we have them at our local aquarium as well. I always enjoy feeding the lorikeets, because they don't mind crawling on you and they are very cute. You just have to make sure you get there when they're hungry, but the aquarium helpfully puts up a sign to let you know how hungry they are.

Apparently you can also feed jellyfish there now, as well. I'm sure it's interesting to watch them eat. But considering you just pour the cup in the water and don't even hold them, I'm really not sure it's worth the extra charge when there are several other animals you can look at when the keepers feed them. The one time we went on the special tour and shook giant fish food (also known as seaweed snacks from the Japanese grocery) into the three story mega-tank... That was worth it.
