	Thursday, June 1, 2023 No Treats for Dinner We never buy those lame, crusty "treats" from the pet store for the guinea pigs. You know, the ones that look like old, dried out Lucky Charms? But we did have to buy those pellet bags that have treats and seeds and other filler mixed in a couple times, because that's all that was in the store. The pigs don't appreciate the pellets, unless they're desperate, but they will still eat the treats even though they're bad for them. So we will very rarely give them a few when we don't have nice, fresh carrots available. They know when it's meal time, though. And those artificial treats are no substitute for real, fresh vegetables.
